She met Kobayashi in 2017 at the Whole Foods she worked at in Maui.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll the texts I have with her \u2014 they have emojis. She would have made it known that she was texting,\u201d said Ursua, who said she last spoke with her friend on October 17.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t feel like it\u2019s her to make people concerned. She wouldn\u2019t just ghost out of nowhere. Usually at parties she\u2019s the one that will make sure she says bye to her friend,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was literally messaging me about Burning Man 2025 next year. She was literally posting about New York in October when she was going in November. Kobayashi shared an image of the event on her Instagram.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Nov. 11, Kobayashi texted her mother, saying she had not arrived in New York.
