over a decision she and Prince William will soon have to make about Prince George\u2019s future.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/news\/royals\/kate-middletons-huge-decision-over-34212605\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">According to Mirror<\/a>, the Prince and Princess of Wales, both 42, are discussing where to send their eldest child once his time at preparatory school comes to an end. <\/p>\n<p>Royal expert Katie Nicholl told the outlet that Middleton wants the 11-year-old to attend a co-ed school in England so he can be with his siblings \u2014 however, her husband has different wishes.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Kate Middleton is reportedly \u201cheartbroken\u201d as she and Prince William are at odds over where to send their eldest child, Prince George, size-large\"><figcaption>According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, the Princess of Wales wants George to study at a co-ed school so he can be with his siblings.  <span class=\"credit\">Danny for George to be at a co-education school, so he can be with his siblings, which is what Kate experienced at Marlborough with her sister, Pippa, and brother, James,\u201d Nicholl said.<\/p>\n<p>Middleton studied at Marlborough College in Wiltshire from 1996 to 2000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a very happy school life for her, but William has very fond memories of Eton, which has a long history with aristocrats and members of the royal family,\u201d Nicholl explained.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Middleton class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>According to Nicholl, William has his heart set on George attending Eton, the prestigious all-boys boarding school, where he and his brother, Prince Harry, studied. <\/p>\n<p>While George is said to be excited at the prospect of attending his dad\u2019s alma mater, Middleton is \u201cheartbroken\u201d at the idea and thinks the institution is too \u201cstuffy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But Nicholl said there\u2019s a possibility that George will not follow in his father\u2019s footsteps since William did not enroll at the boarding being changed,\u201d Nicholl told the Mirror. \u201cWilliam and Harry didn\u2019t end up following in their father\u2019s footsteps by going to Gordonstoun [in Scotland], and it may be that George breaks the Eton mold and ends up somewhere else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added, \u201cWhatever happens, it\u2019ll be a decision made by William and Kate with George\u2019s best interests factored in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>George is currently enrolled at Lambrook, a co-educational school for boys and girls aged 3 to 13 in the Berkshire countryside, with his siblings, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-62825227\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">per the BBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>However, Nicholl said there\u2019s a possibility that George goes to a different boarding school than his dad since William did not attend his href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/05\/29\/royal-family\/kate-middleton-has-turned-a-corner-with-cancer-treatment\/\">amid Middleton\u2019s recent cancer treatment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen Kate was in hospital, George was on the football pitch playing with his friends,\u201d Nicholl told the Mirror.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat sense of normality, of keeping the family going at one of the hardest times \u2014 a low-key, happy, albeit privileged childhood.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Page Six reached out to Kensington Palace for comment.<\/p>\n<p>In March, Middleton announced that she had been <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/03\/22\/royal-family\/kate-middleton-reveals-she-has-cancer\/\">diagnosed with cancer<\/a> after undergoing abdominal surgery in January.<\/p>\n<p>In September, she announced she <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/09\/09\/royal-family\/kate-middleton-has-finished-her-cancer-treatment\/\">completed chemotherapy<\/a> and was
