And the cold air will be sticking around for at least the rest of the week as round after round of cold air pushes into the country, plunging temperatures below freezing as far south as the Deep South.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><strong>BUFFALO, N.Y. <\/strong>\u2013<strong> <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/winter-weather\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Winter weather<\/a> is making its presence known across the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S.<\/a> as millions of people deal with the onslaught of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/lake-effect-snow-buffalo-watertown-cleveland-great-lakes-arctic-blast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">long-duration, lake-effect snowstorm<\/a> that has paralyzed communities downwind of the Great Lakes. And to make matters worse, rounds of arctic air will continue to invade the country and send temperatures tumbling below freezing in cities as far as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/southeast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Southeast<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The FOX Forecast Center said the arctic blast from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/canada\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Canada<\/a> has been sweeping across the central and eastern U.S., with temperatures in cities in the northern Plains plummeting below zero, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/what-does-wind-chill-mean\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wind chills<\/a> making it feel even colder.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/how-to-watch-fox-weather-on-tv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>HOW TO WATCH FOX WEATHER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;The afternoons really haven&#8217;t been too bad,&#8221; FOX Weather Meteorologist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/person\/s\/ari-sarsalari\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ari Sarsalari<\/a> said. &#8220;I mean, yes, this is cold air. It&#8217;s going to affect a lot of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/northeast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Northeast<\/a>, but it also makes it pretty far south.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Cities like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/florida\/tallahassee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tallahassee<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/florida\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida<\/a>, dipped below freezing on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a data-v-438398f6=\"\">And it appears as though the cold air will be sticking around for at least the next several days as round after round of frigid arctic air makes its way into the U.S.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The 6- to 10-day temperature outlook from NOAA\u2019s Climate Prediction Center shows much of the eastern half of the U.S. seeing below-average temperatures, with some of the coldest air making its way into the Northeast and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/new-england\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New England<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a
