Guilty! Guilty!\u201d as the Marine veteran exited a black SUV outside the 100 Centre St. courthouse.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat do we want? Justice! When do we want it? Now!\u201d the demonstrators shouted.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Daniel Penny was greeted with shouts of \u201cGuilty!\u201d as he arrived in court Monday morning ahead of closing arguments in his lightning-rod Manhattan manslaughter trial in the chokehold death of Jordan Neely.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Daniel Penny arrives at court for his manslaughter trial. <span class=\"credit\">Steven Hirsch<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Penny is charged with second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide in connection to Neely\u2019s death in a crowded Manhattan subway car in May 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The altercation, which was captured on video by bystanders, shows Penny keeping the troubled homeless man in a chokehold for nearly six minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors say Penny \u201crecklessly\u201d killed Neely, 30, by maintaining the hold for far longer than Neely could have reasonably been considered a threat \u2014 including for 51 seconds after his body went limp.<\/p>\n<p>Penny\u2019s attorneys have argued that his actions were justified, and have claimed that there\u2019s reasonable doubt that his chokehold is what caused Neely\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>A group of a dozen protesters chanted, \u201cGuilty!
