but the firm was also praised by some for being bold and shaking things up.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">The car maker, which is embarking on the biggest change in its history, released a new logo and a so-called &#8220;<!-- --><a target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/c20ny39wpg3o\" class=\"sc-c9299ecf-0 bZUiKB\" rel=\"noopener\">social media tease<!-- --><\/a>&#8220;, ahead of its relaunch as an electric-only brand.<!-- --><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-component=\"text-block\" class=\"sc-18fde0d6-0 dlWCEZ\">\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">During the Type 00 event in Miami on Monday, the UK-based company&#8217;s chief creative officer, Gerry McGovern, said he welcomed the attention Jaguar&#8217;s new direction had been getting.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">&#8220;It has already stirred emotions and it will continue to,&#8221; he said.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">&#8220;Jaguar has no desire to be loved by everybody.&#8221;<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">Replies on Jaguar&#8217;s social media posts about the car ranged from &#8220;Go back to the drawing board&#8221; and &#8220;hopefully this doesn&#8217;t actually come out&#8221; to &#8220;Exciting&#8221; and &#8220;Absolutely stunning&#8221;.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">Car industry analyst Karl Brauer was sceptical about the rebranding.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">The company seems to be &#8220;sacrificing Jaguar&#8217;s past to the hopes of a better future,&#8221; he told the BBC. &#8220;I don\u2019t think it\u2019s going to work&#8221;.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">Last month, the company urged people to &#8220;trust and reserve judgement&#8221;
