When the model was first announced these generated clips could be vaguely \u201cbeyond a minute\u201d in length, but Google doesn\u2019t specify length restrictions for the preview release. Everything produced by Veo and Imagen 3 is also embedded with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/10\/23\/24277873\/google-artificial-intelligence-synthid-watermarking-open-source\">DeepMind\u2019s SynthID technology<\/a> \u2014 a kind of invisible digital watermark that Google says can \u201cdecrease misinformation and misattribution concerns.\u201d It\u2019s a similar concept to Adobe\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/10\/10\/23911381\/adobe-ai-generated-content-symbol-watermark\">Content Credentials system<\/a>, which can be embedded into content produced by the creative software giant\u2019s own image and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/10\/14\/24268695\/adobe-ai-video-generation-firefly-model-premiere-pro\">video generative AI models<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph mb-20 font-fkroman text-18 leading-160 -tracking-1 selection:bg-franklin-20 dark:text-white dark:selection:bg-blurple [&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-franklin dark:[&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-blurple [&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-black dark:[&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-white\">With Google\u2019s video model now in the wild, OpenAI is notably behind its competitors and running out of time to make good on its promise to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/11\/26\/24306879\/openai-sora-video-ai-model-leak-artist-protest\">release Sora by the end of 2024<\/a>.
