It&#8217;s just going to bring in much-needed rain to much of the area.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">That moisture, along with the proximity of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/what-is-a-cold-front\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cold front<\/a>, will trigger the threat of heavy rain and storms across southeastern Texas and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/louisiana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Louisiana<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">A few inches of rain are possible in those locations through Wednesday night.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;So, understand that (Wednesday) it is going to be a bit soggy if you&#8217;re traveling in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/texas\/dallas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dallas<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/texas\/houston\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Houston<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/mississippi\/jackson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jackson<\/a> (Mississippi),&#8221; Smith continued.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/app\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>DOWNLOAD THE FREE FOX WEATHER APP<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div data-v-b8684aba=\"\">\n<div class=\"freeform-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/media.foxweather.com\/weather\/South%20Moisture%20Setup.png\"\/><figcaption>This graphic shows the forecast in the South over the next several days.<br \/><strong>(FOX Weather)<\/strong><\/figcaption><hr\/>\n<p>\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Impacts to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a> have already been reported as of Wednesday morning after a ground stop due to thunderstorms was implemented at Dallas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/texas\/fort-worth\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fort Worth<\/a> International Airport (DFW).<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">After that the front is then expected to stall along or south of the Gulf Coast, which could potentially keep threats of rain and storms in the forecast along the coast and in South Texas through the end of the workweek.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Over the weekend the FOX Forecast Center said moisture will once again surge north ahead of another disturbance moving in from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/southwest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Southwest<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">That will then trigger more rounds of heavy rain from Texas to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/georgia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Georgia<\/a>, where a few inches of rain is possible.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/explaining-flood-alerts-issued-by-national-weather-service\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>FLOOD WATCH, WARNING AND EMERGENCY: HERE ARE THE DIFFERENCES THAT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div data-v-b8684aba=\"\">\n<div class=\"freeform-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/media.foxweather.com\/weather\/South%20Multi-Day%20Flash%20Flood%20Outlook.png\"\/><figcaption>This graphic shows the flash flood threat over the weekend.<br \/><strong>(FOX Weather)<\/strong><\/figcaption><hr\/>\n<p>\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;We&#8217;re not dealing with anything in the way of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/severe-weather\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">severe weather<\/a>, which is good news,&#8221;
