While the actor\u2019s presence was a great addition for fans, Newbon had waited almost two years to get a response from the mod\u2019s developers.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-fallout-almost-didn-t-meet-baldur-s-gate-3\"><span id=\"Fallout_almost_didnt_meet_Baldurs_Gate_3\">Fallout almost didn\u2019t meet Baldur\u2019s Gate 3<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>After revealing his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.videogamer.com\/news\/baldurs-gate-3-astarion-actor-entire-cast-genuine-friends\/\">deep friendship with the entire Baldur\u2019s Gate 3 cast<\/a>, Newbon discussed his long wait to join Fallout: London in an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@ginxtv\/featured\">GinxTV<\/a>. The actor explained that he had offered his talents to the mod team years before its release, but was left on read.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just heard about it; Astarion and Baldur\u2019s Gate 3 had just kicked off in a wonderful way,\u201d Newbon explained. \u201cI\u2019d heard about Fallout London for a while, and I\u2019d already sent them a message like a year before. Maybe two years \u2013 it was a long time ago, saying \u2018Hey, this sounds great. I want to be involved.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The actor revealed that he wanted to work on the free mod as a fan of the RPG series, but he was left on read by a member of the team. Apparently one of the guys said [to the rest of the devs], \u2018Oh I got this message from him ages on Twitter, but I don\u2019t know who this guy is.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The actor held no bad will against the team for the years of waiting, and loved the passion of the development team. Newbon also explained that he was was a huge fan of the free nature of the project and loved being able to just work on a project for the love of the craft.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a danger I think when actors become successful that indie developers or AAs or whatever, they think they can\u2019t afford you, which is nonsense,\u201dNewbon said. \u201cSo, you know, you see an actor win an award. It doesn\u2019t mean you can\u2019t afford them, because we are jobbing actors at the end of the day.
