(Photo by: Edwin Remsberg\/VWPics\/Universal Images Group via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p class=\"sub-text\"><strong> (Getty Images)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">According to the study, particularly high levels of arsenic were found in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/northwest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">northwestern<\/a> states, and high levels of cobalt were detected in honey from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/southeast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Southeast<\/a>. Arsenic was found in 89% of all samples, with the highest concentrations in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/oregon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oregon<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/washington\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Washington<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Cadmium was detected in all but one honey sample. Lead was found in 97% of the samples, with the highest levels in North Carolina, South Carolina, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/utah\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Utah<\/a>, and Louisiana.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/insects-create-atmospheric-charge-comparable-storm-clouds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>SWARMING INSECTS CAN CREATE AN ATMOSPHERIC CHARGE COMPARABLE TO STORM-PRODUCING CLOUDS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">However, the study authors note that all honey samples have a hazard quotient and hazard index values below 1 for children and adults, based on the assumption of consuming one tablespoon of honey daily.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Based on this initial study, the levels detected in the honey samples do not currently raise <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/health\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">health<\/a> concerns.
