Garlinghouse stressed that Ripple is not seeking to be deregulated but instead asking for clear regulations from Congress to address the unique nature of digital assets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI went to Harvard Business School. I think I\u2019m reasonably intelligent about something like, \u201cWhat is a security?\u201d So never once had I considered the possibility\u2013 that, \u201cOkay, maybe XRP\u2019s a security. We haven\u2019t been asking to be deregulated. We\u2019ve been asking to be regulated. So we have been saying, \u201cHey, look, just give us clear rules of the road,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>XRP Price Reacts<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>XRP, Ripple\u2019s cryptocurrency, is currently experiencing a surge, approaching the $2.60 mark. At the time of writing, it was trading at $2.55, a 4.5% increase.
