Dec. 5, 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><strong>ALBANY, N.Y. <\/strong>\u2013 A second child has died after falling through thin ice last weekend in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/new-york\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>New York<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The incident occurred at Washington Park Lake in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/new-york\/albany\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Albany<\/u><\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AlbanyNYPolice\/posts\/pfbid0DHdho86tdh1Q7ucke35fbAGC9yH1vVceQkMLscQLxTCMDNVQ9j1miVDc8GEFCBT6l\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><u>According to police<\/u><\/a>, the 12-year-old boy and 11-year-old girl fell through the ice about 4:35 p.m. Saturday. The <a href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/data\/obhistory\/KALB.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><u>air temperature was hovering<\/u><\/a> around freezing at the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Despite an immediate response from multiple law enforcement agencies, the boy drowned in the frigid water. The girl, witnessing the incident, tried to help but also fell into the icy waters.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Police said the victims&#8217; names will not be released due to their age.
