{"id":136047,"date":"2024-12-12T03:46:46","date_gmt":"2024-12-11T20:46:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=136047"},"modified":"2024-12-12T03:46:46","modified_gmt":"2024-12-11T20:46:46","slug":"unfortunately-theres-no-cure-for-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=136047","title":{"rendered":"Unfortunately, There\u2019s No Cure For It"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-layout-key=\"-fb+5w+4e-db+86\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7910942971\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/gerry-turner\/\" id=\"auto-tag_gerry-turner\" data-tag=\"gerry-turner\">Gerry Turner<\/a>, the star of ABC\u2019s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/the-golden-bachelor\/\" id=\"auto-tag_the-golden-bachelor\" data-tag=\"the-golden-bachelor\">The Golden Bachelor<\/a><\/em>, has revealed he was diagnosed with cancer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/reality-tv\/\" id=\"auto-tag_reality-tv\" data-tag=\"reality-tv\">reality TV<\/a> star said the diagnosis came earlier this year after marrying Theresa Nist on a live ABC special in January and divorced three months later.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cAs Theresa and I were trying very hard to find our lifestyle and where we were going to live and how we were going to make our life work, I was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer,\u201d Turner said in an interview with <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/golden-bachelor-gerry-turner-diagnosed-cancer-weeks-before-theresa-nist-split-exclusive-8758677\">People<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tTurner was diagnosed with cancer after going to the doctor for a shoulder injury.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cFinally I got around to going [to the doctor] and the orthopedic surgeon said, \u2018Yeah Gerry, there\u2019s not much we can do for your shoulder, but there are some unusual blood markers here,\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cAnd so an orthopedic surgeon went to my family doctor, my family doctor referred me to an oncologist, and now I\u2019m working with a hematology-oncology group in Fort Wayne.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tTurner said he was diagnosed with a bone-marrow cancer, adding, \u201cUnfortunately, there\u2019s no cure for it. So that weighs heavily in every decision I make. It was like 10 tons of concrete were just dropped on me. And I was a bit in denial for a while, I didn\u2019t want to admit to it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<em>The Golden Bachelor<\/em> shared the news with his wife in February and his diagnosis was clearer the next month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cCertainly, it was hard for me. But the conversation was brief and I think [she was] a little bit awestruck by the news. So understandable,\u201d he said. \u201cI wanted my life to continue on as normal as possible, and that led me to believing that as normal as possible more meant spending time with my family, my two daughters, my two son-in-laws, my granddaughters. And the importance of finding the way with Theresa was still there, but it became less of a priority.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cThat glamour and starstruck, whirlwind time was really a cherished memory. It was wonderful, and I certainly wish it would\u2019ve had a different ending, that we would\u2019ve found our way, that we would\u2019ve found solutions to a problem.
