The denial came hours after US Rep. Jeff Van Drew, a New Jersey Republican, told Fox News the drones were from \u201ca mothership\u201d from Iran that is \u201coff the East Coast of the United States of America.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm4kdbw80000b3b6j3vaw3g5m@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cThere is not any truth to that,\u201d Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said Wednesday. \u201cThere is no Iranian ship off the coast of the United States, and there\u2019s no so-called mothership launching drones towards the United States.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm4kdm4ja000r3b6j69mffo6k@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            The sightings began November 18 near Morris County, New Jersey, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm4kde0se000h3b6jit700vue@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Drones have been spotted near the <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/USNorthernCmd\/status\/1866933937467166857\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Picatinny Arsenal<\/a>, a US military research facility, and over President-elect Donald Trump\u2019s golf course in Bedminster, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/USNorthernCmd\/status\/1866933937467166857\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">military officials<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SenBooker\/status\/1866607594837848396\/photo\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">state lawmakers<\/a>. The sightings prompted the FAA to issue temporary flight restrictions over the properties.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm4kdjirr000o3b6j09xyu396@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            State Assembly member Dawn Fantasia <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DawnFantasia_NJ\/status\/1866896860578717994\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said on X<\/a> that she and other New Jersey lawmakers were briefed on the sightings Wednesday at a meeting at the New Jersey State Police headquarters.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm4kdr0i8000u3b6jr9pirviu@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cAt this point, I believe military intervention is the only path forward,\u201d Fantasia said.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm4kdwbot000y3b6jeei2fger@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Local law enforcement has the authority to shoot the drones down if they choose, according to Singh.
