The seat plummeted to Broadway &#8211; a major thoroughfare of bars and music venues in the heart of Nashville. <!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">Wallen is best known for his chart-topping song Last Night from his award-winning album One Thing at a Time and for his early success on the NBC show The Voice. <!-- --><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-component=\"text-block\">\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">The chair-throwing incident took place as Chief&#8217;s celebrated its opening weekend.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">Wallen was booked into jail a day later and subsequently released.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">He apologised for the incident on social media. <!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">&#8220;I&#8217;ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief&#8217;,&#8221; he wrote on social media. <!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">&#8220;I&#8217;m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility.&#8221;<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">It was not Wallen&#8217;s first brush with the law.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">He was previously arrested in May 2020 for public intoxication and disorderly conduct outside Kid Rock&#8217;s honky-tonk bar in the entertainment district, The Tennessean newspaper reported.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">In 2021, he made headlines after he was caught on video shouting a racial slur outside his Tennessee home. <!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">That <!-- --><a target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/entertainment-arts-55929170\" class=\"sc-c9299ecf-0 bZUiKB\" rel=\"noopener\">incident resulted<!-- --><\/a> in the loss of his recording contract. He was dropped from country radio stations and suspended form the Country Music Awards for three years. <!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">Wallen later <!-- --><a target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/entertainment-arts-56022938\" class=\"sc-c9299ecf-0 bZUiKB\" rel=\"noopener\">apologised <!-- --><\/a>for his actions. &#8220;There&#8217;s no excuse. I&#8217;ve never made an excuse.
