Despite having five nominations, <em><strong>Silent Hill 2<\/strong><\/em> went home empty-handed, much like almost every other horror and genre video game. Team Asobi and Sony were the big winners last night with <em><strong>ASTRO BOT<\/strong><\/em>, which earned four awards, including Game of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>Along with <em>Silent Hill 2<\/em>, the likes of <em><strong>Diablo IV<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Lorelei and the Laser Eyes<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Arizona Sunshine Remake<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>Pacific Drive<\/strong><\/em> also missed out on winning in their respective categories.<\/p>\n<p>The only horror title that took home hardware last night was Ninja Theory\u2019s <em><strong>Senua\u2019s Saga: Hellblade II<\/strong><\/em>, which won for Best Audio Design and Best Performance for <strong>Melina Juergens<\/strong>\u2018 role of Senua. Genre winners included <em><strong>Helldivers 2<\/strong><\/em> for Best Multiplayer Game and Best Ongoing Game, <em><strong>Frostpunk 2<\/strong><\/em> for Best Sim\/Strategy Game, <em><strong>Baldur\u2019s Gate 3<\/strong><\/em> for Best Community Support, <em><strong>Batman: Arkham Shadow<\/strong><\/em> for Best VR\/AR Game, and Prime\u2019s adaptation of Bethesda\u2019s <em><strong>Fallout<\/strong><\/em> won Best Adaptation.<\/p>\n<p>Horror fans need not be upset, however. The Horror Game Awards, <a href=\"https:\/\/bloody-disgusting.com\/video-games\/3837294\/the-horror-game-awards-2024-streams-december-14-public-voting-now-open-for-nominations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">which stream tomorrow<\/a> <strong>at 4pm ET<\/strong>, will give horror gaming its proper spotlight.
