Some subscribers are staving off the hike using the time-honored tradition of threatening to cancel, as one <em>Verge<\/em> reader indicated in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/12\/12\/24319585\/youtube-tv-2024-subscription-price-increase-82-99?commentID=0fe4b9c9-c03c-4122-92a5-97d6da3106b7\">comment<\/a> on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/12\/12\/24319585\/youtube-tv-2024-subscription-price-increase-82-99\">original story<\/a> about the price hike.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph mb-20 font-fkroman text-18 leading-160 -tracking-1 selection:bg-franklin-20 dark:text-white dark:selection:bg-blurple [&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-franklin dark:[&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-blurple [&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-black dark:[&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-white\">That\u2019s backed up by users in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/youtubetv\/comments\/1hcybtw\/cancellation_loop\/\">Reddit thread<\/a> that <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2024\/12\/13\/youtube-tv-price-lock-offer\/\"><em>9to5Google<\/em> spotted<\/a>, several of whom reported getting the offer to keep paying $72.99 for six more months when they tried to cancel their subscriptions, although some report that didn\u2019t work for them. Some who did get to keep the old price say it happened only when they logged in using a web browser on their computer and pushed through offers to pause their subscription instead. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph mb-20 font-fkroman text-18 leading-160 -tracking-1 selection:bg-franklin-20 dark:text-white dark:selection:bg-blurple [&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-franklin dark:[&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-blurple [&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-black dark:[&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-white\">One <em>Verge<\/em> staffer, Jennifer Tuohy, did get the offer to extend her current price. She canceled by logging into YouTube TV in a browser on her computer and navigating to Settings &gt; Membership &gt; Manage.
