He is currently being held without bail. Earlier this week, Mangione <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2024\/12\/10\/nx-s1-5223368\/luigi-mangione-united-healthcare-ceo-ghost-gun\">contested<\/a> extradition to New York, where he faces murder charges. She worked under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2021\/12\/30\/1065756732\/manhattan-da-cyrus-vance-reflects-on-trump-and-weinstein-cases-as-he-leaves-offi\">Cyrus Vance Jr.<\/a> \u2014 who was known for going after former film producer Harvey Weinstein, as well as President-elect Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>At the Manhattan DA&#8217;s office, Friedman Agnifilo prosecuted violent crime cases, including those that had &#8220;a mental health component,&#8221; according to her law firm bio. She also served as the acting district attorney when Vance was out of the jurisdiction.<\/p>\n<p>Two other attorneys from Agnifilo Intrater are representing Sean &#8220;Diddy&#8221; Combs in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2024\/11\/27\/nx-s1-5209263\/sean-combs-denied-bail-for-third-time\">criminal case against him<\/a>, where he was charged with sex trafficking and racketeering.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"edTag\">UnitedHealth Group CEO speaks out<\/h3>\n<p>The killing of UnitedHealthcare&#8217;s CEO on Dec. 4 sent shockwaves across the country. What is he proposing to change or improve?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Another top comment came from Phil from London: &#8220;What happened to Mr Thompson was tragic, but to describe him as someone &#8216;who was working to make health care better for everyone&#8217; is just patently false.
