The Outer Worlds 2 seems to have cemented that even more, as confirmed by a reliable insider.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- Not injecting Ads due to No-Ads mode. --><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"xbox-reportedly-won-39-t-have-console-exclusives-going-forward\">\n                        Xbox Reportedly Won&#8217;t Have Console Exclusives Going Forward<br \/>\n               <\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/GamingLeaksAndRumours\/comments\/1he7nkp\/xbox_will_no_longer_have_permanent_console\/?share_id=L8KMnScFiObNyj_f7CW76&amp;utm_content=1&amp;utm_medium=android_app&amp;utm_name=androidcss&amp;utm_source=share&amp;utm_term=1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">As pointed out on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit<\/a>, Windows Central executive editor Jez Corden responded to a comment accusing him of <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JezCorden\/status\/1867395998160474388\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">not addressing The Outer Worlds 2&#8217;s PS5 confirmation and the &#8220;deep deep trouble&#8221; it spells for Xbox as a whole<\/a>. Corden was also asked why Xbox wants to &#8220;knee-cap&#8221; games like South of Midnight and <a href=\"http:\/\/thegamer.com\/tag\/avowed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Avowed<\/a> by keeping them exclusive for a time.<\/p>\n<p>In response, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JezCorden\/status\/1867406506024432060\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Corden said that Xbox doesn&#8217;t want to do that and that each of the games mentioned is coming to PlayStation &#8220;over time&#8221;<\/a>. This caused a bit of confusion from one commenter, who wondered why Xbox doesn&#8217;t just outright say that&#8217;s the new strategy instead of stringing fans along.<\/p>\n<p>According to Corden, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JezCorden\/status\/1867407921199362372\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Xbox&#8217;s admittedly strange approach is because they don&#8217;t want to mandate it for teams<\/a> that aren&#8217;t set up for multiplatform development currently. While that&#8217;s fair, Corden then says that the &#8220;era of Xbox having permanent console exclusives is over&#8221;, something that the writing has been on the wall for over the past few years.<\/p>\n<p> Although it&#8217;s possible that Corden is exaggerating or might end up being incorrect, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/xboxs-next-generation-will-reportedly-include-a-traditional-console-and-a-handheld-microsoft-gaming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he&#8217;s been reliable in the past when it comes to Xbox&#8217;s plans<\/a> and has previously made it clear that Microsoft is no longer as interested in Xbox having exclusives.
