Bitcoin is the only asset in the top 10 cryptocurrencies that is in the green over the last week, rising more than 3% during that span.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\">The latest leg up comes following more than a week of substantial volatility for Bitcoin and other crypto assets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\">Bitcoin surged <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/292828\/bitcoin-hits-100000-15-years-satoshi\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"sc-adb616fe-0 bJsyml\" rel=\"noopener\">above the vaunted $100,000 mark<\/a> for the first time ever on December 4 and continued to push to the aforementioned high, but then plunged sharply the following day\u2014and again a few days later. Both drops impacted the prices of other cryptocurrencies, and also prompted waves of liquidations that wiped out the positions of traders betting that the bull run would continue uninterrupted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\">But now, Bitcoin has stabilized and is testing another record mark. Other leading cryptocurrencies are seeing modest gains alongside, though none of the major players are making as meaningful of moves so far Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\"><a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/resources\/dogecoin-crypto-cryptocurrency-guide-how-to-buy-doge\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"sc-adb616fe-0 bJsyml\" rel=\"noopener\">Dogecoin<\/a>, for example, is up more than 2% on the day at a current price of $0.403, but it&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/296618\/dogecoin-down-since-3-year-high-bitcoin-rebound\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"sc-adb616fe-0 bJsyml\" rel=\"noopener\">still down substantially<\/a> since hitting a <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/295451\/dogecoin-highest-price-2021-bitcoin-100k-xrp\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"sc-adb616fe-0 bJsyml\" rel=\"noopener\">three-year high price of $0.48<\/a> just over a week ago. It&#8217;s down 13% over the past week, per CoinGecko, making it the biggest loser among the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market cap.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\">And <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/resources\/ripple\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"sc-adb616fe-0 bJsyml\" rel=\"noopener\">XRP<\/a> is up nearly 1% over the past 24 hours at $2.42, but has still lost some momentum since <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/294337\/xrp-surges-crushing-bitcoin-dogecoin-gains\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"sc-adb616fe-0 bJsyml\" rel=\"noopener\">spiking to a seven-year peak<\/a> of $2.82 early this month. Last week, the price of the Ripple-linked asset briefly <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/295850\/xrp-plunges-bitcoin-tumbles-again\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"sc-adb616fe-0 bJsyml\" rel=\"noopener\">fell below the $2 mark<\/a>, but has substantially recovered since then.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\">Overall, the crypto market isn&#8217;t making too major of moves over the past day, down just 0.3% across the board per data from CoinGecko.
