And these type of roles change you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lopez has had quite the journey this year as she <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/08\/20\/entertainment\/jennifer-lopez-files-for-divorce-from-ben-affleck\/#:~:text=According%20to%20TMZ%2C%20she%20filed,couple%20for%20nearly%20four%20months.\">filed for divorce<\/a> from Ben Affleck in August on what would have been the two-year anniversary of their second wedding ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018They come to you at times in your life when you need them, and they help you grow and they heal you in a way,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Jerome and Lopez in \u201cUnstoppable.\u201d  <span class=\"credit\">AP<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>However, \u201cUnstoppable\u201d was produced by Affleck, 52, through his production company<strong> <\/strong>Artists Equity.<\/p>\n<p>Lopez and Affleck\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/07\/17\/jennifer-lopez-and-ben-affleck-get-married-in-vegas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tied the knot in July<\/a>\u00a02022 at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas before saying \u201cI do\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/08\/20\/jennifer-lopez-and-ben-affleck-married-again\/\">for a second time\u00a0<\/a>at Affleck\u2019s estate in Riceboro, Georgia, the following month.<\/p>\n<p>However, fans will remember that this is the second go around for the former couple, who <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/08\/20\/entertainment\/ben-affleck-didnt-show-any-interest-in-fixing-j-lo-marriage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tried to make a romance work<\/a>\u00a0in the early aughts.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Affleck and Lopez started dating in 2002 and announced their breakup in 2004.
