{"id":138487,"date":"2024-12-18T18:28:59","date_gmt":"2024-12-18T11:28:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=138487"},"modified":"2024-12-18T18:28:59","modified_gmt":"2024-12-18T11:28:59","slug":"james-gunn-reveals-how-top-gun-maverick-influenced-superman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=138487","title":{"rendered":"James Gunn Reveals How &#8216;Top Gun: Maverick&#8217; Influenced &#8216;Superman&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-layout-key=\"-fb+5w+4e-db+86\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7910942971\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/james-gunn\/\" id=\"auto-tag_james-gunn_1\" data-tag=\"james-gunn\">James Gunn<\/a> is offering a sneak peek into what fans can expect from his upcoming <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/superman\/\" id=\"auto-tag_superman_1\" data-tag=\"superman\">Superman<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-features\/james-gunn-creature-commandos-superman-1236076004\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-features\/james-gunn-creature-commandos-superman-1236076004\/\">filmmaker and DC Studios co-chief <\/a>spoke to the press on the set of the highly-anticipated superhero movie earlier this year (via\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/james-gunn-superman-set-visit-interview-clark-lois-lex-luthor-2000538088\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/james-gunn-superman-set-visit-interview-clark-lois-lex-luthor-2000538088\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gizmodo<\/a><\/em>), where he teased the beginning of the film, how <em>Top Gun: Maverick<\/em> influenced the movie and how they landed on Superman\u2019s suit. <em>Superman<\/em> stars <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/who-is-david-corenswet-everything-to-know-new-superman-1235525044\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/who-is-david-corenswet-everything-to-know-new-superman-1235525044\/\">David Corenswet as the titular superhero<\/a>, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/superman-legacy-cast-david-corenswet-rachel-brosnahan-1235358907\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/superman-legacy-cast-david-corenswet-rachel-brosnahan-1235358907\/\">Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/nicholas-hoult\/\" id=\"auto-tag_nicholas-hoult_1\" data-tag=\"nicholas-hoult\">Nicholas Hoult<\/a> as Lex Luthor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tGunn admitted shooting scenes in the sky \u201cis really hard,\u201d however they had another iconic action film starring Tom Cruise to pull some inspiration from.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cWe took a lot from films like\u00a0<em>Top Gun: Maverick<\/em>,\u201d he explained. \u201cWe shoot a lot of our action with actual drones flying in and around Superman and the people that he\u2019s flying with, The Engineer and whoever else that he\u2019s fighting up in the air. And we did that on sound stages. We got these really small, crazy drones now. We\u2019ve got some of the best flyers in the world here who are working with it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe <em>Guardians of the Galaxy<\/em> director also teased the opening scene of <em>Superman<\/em>, which explores the titular superhero\u2019s journey to reconcile his alien heritage with his human family.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cWe just start in the middle of the action,\u201d he said. \u201cSuperman already exists. Lois and Clark already know each other. Lex hates Superman\u2019s guts from the beginning, although they don\u2019t know each other personally. So we start right in the middle of the action.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tGunn added that after dropping Superman into all the action, the film\u2019s main story will take place over \u201ca short amount of time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tElsewhere, the <em>Peacemaker<\/em> creator also shared just how they decided on the new Man of Steel costume, which sees Corenswet in the iconic red trunks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cWe were trying on all these different versions, and we screened tested with trunks and no trunks,\u201d Gunn recalled. \u201cAnd one of the things David said is that Superman wants kids to not be afraid of him. He\u2019s an alien. He\u2019s got these incredible powers. He shoots beams out of his eyes\u2026 He\u2019s this incredibly powerful, could be considered scary, individual and he wants people to like him. He wants to be a symbol of hope and positivity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHe continued, \u201cSo he dresses like a professional wrestler. He dresses in a way that makes people unafraid of him, that shows that hope that shows that positivity. And that really clicked in for me. And I think trying to pretend that Superman\u2019s costume doesn\u2019t have some frivolity to it at its base, trying to make it look serious, is silly because he is a superhero.
