However, this will be short-lived, as temperatures will moderate by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/holidays\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Christmas Day<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/christmas-travel-weather-forecast-us\"><strong>CHRISTMAS TRAVEL FORECAST SHOWS RAIN, SNOW LIKELY LEADING TO DELAYS FOR MILLIONS ACROSS US<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div data-v-b8684aba=\"\">\n<div class=\"freeform-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/media.foxweather.com\/weather\/East%20Multi%20Day%20Planner.png\"\/><figcaption>A look at your day planner on Friday and Saturday in the Northeast.<br \/><strong>(FOX Weather)<\/strong><\/figcaption><hr\/>\n<p>\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 data-v-4e81e892=\"\">Happening now: Snowstorm beginning to take shape\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">A large swath of plowable <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/snow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">snow<\/a> is expected from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/montana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Montana<\/a> to the Northeast in front of this quick-hitting clipper, the FOX Forecast Center said.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Snow will first fall across eastern Montana before moving into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/north-dakota\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Dakota<\/a> on Wednesday afternoon and the Great Lakes by Thursday.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/app\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>DOWNLOAD THE FREE FOX WEATHER APP<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div data-v-b8684aba=\"\">\n<div class=\"freeform-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/media.foxweather.com\/weather\/Digital_Radar.gif?v2\"\/><figcaption>A three-hour radar loop showing where snowshowers and thunderstorms are ongoing.<br \/><strong>(FOX Weather)<\/strong><\/figcaption><hr\/>\n<p>\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">As the system moves east and gets stronger, heavy snow will break out, especially in northern North Dakota, where there&#8217;s a high chance of getting more than 4 inches of snow. Some areas could even see 5-8 inches.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The snow will be light and fluffy, which will allow it to blow around in the 15-30 mph winds, the FOX Forecast Center said. This blowing snow will lead to reduced visibility and travel issues along I-94 and I-29 on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The snow will then spread across Minnesota and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/wisconsin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wisconsin<\/a> on Thursday where multiple inches of snow are expected. This includes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/minnesota\/minneapolis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Minneapolis<\/a>, where up to 5 inches of snow could fall.
