of the new year will offer a series of spectacular celestial events for stargazers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The month kicks off with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/earth-space\/quadrantids-first-meteor-shower-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Quadrantid meteor shower<\/a>, peaking on Jan. 2 and 3, offering a dazzling display of meteors if skies are clear.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Mid-month, the first full Moon of the year will rise, and the Red Planet of our solar system will make its closest approach to Earth.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Finally, a planetary parade featuring Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn will grace the skies towards the end of the calendar month.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/earth-space\/astronomy-stars-planet-what-sky\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>DON\u2019T MISS THESE CELESTIAL EVENTS IN 2025<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 data-v-4e81e892=\"\">January 2nd-3rd: Quadrantid meteor shower peak<\/h2>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The annual meteor shower, which began in December, peaks in early January every year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/earth-space\/quadrantids-first-meteor-shower-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Some skygazers consider the meteor shower the best of the year because<\/a> of the lack of moonlight, but the event\u2019s peak only lasts a few hours each night.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">NASA said that during the height of activity, dozens of meteors can be seen every hour if the skies are clear and there is minimal light pollution.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The event is usually one of the five major meteor showers of the
