More than a quarter-million residents are now grappling with the fear and uncertainty following the catastrophic fires across Southern California.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Panic has gripped not just the rich and famous but anyone in the path of an inferno fueled by apocalyptic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/wind\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">winds<\/a> that threatened to consume or have already destroyed neighborhoods, leaving even the most privileged scrambling for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/safety\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">safety<\/a>. State authorities are still assessing the damage from four major <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/wildfires\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wildfires<\/a> around <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/california\/los-angeles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Los Angeles<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Fueled by 14-year-high <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/what-are-the-santa-ana-and-diablo-winds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Santa Ana winds<\/a> exceeding 100 mph, the Palisades, Eaton, Hurst and Woodley fires have destroyed numerous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">homes<\/a>, turning thriving communities into desolate landscapes.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/california-palisades-fire-windstorm-wednesday\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>LOS ANGELES ENGULFED BY DEADLY APOCALYPTIC WILDFIRES FUELED BY HURRICANE-FORCE WINDS AMID DIRE EVACUATIONS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"featured featured-video video-ct\">\n<div class=\"video-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"info\">\n<div class=\"caption\">\n<p class=\"sub-text\">The Palisades Fire has burned hindreds of homes in Los Angeles and surrounding areas as winds fuel the blaze. But, it&#8217;s a ghost town. Everybody&#8217;s gone, and I think that&#8217;s what&#8217;s important. That&#8217;s what it should be.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/what-are-the-santa-ana-and-diablo-winds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>LEARN: WHAT ARE SANTA ANA WINDS?<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"featured featured-video video-ct\">\n<div class=\"video-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"info\">\n<div class=\"caption\">\n<p class=\"sub-text\"> Steve Guttenberg told Fox News Digital this is the biggest fire they&#8217;ve had in the Pacific Palisades.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Guttenberg added that the blaze was &#8220;the biggest fire that we&#8217;ve ever seen in the Palisades. It&#8217;s enormous.&#8221; He said it&#8217;s important for residents like himself to be prepared and aware that a disaster like this could happen \u2013 and it did.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;To think what you could do to make somebody&#8217;s life a little easier for that moment,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Maybe it&#8217;s just hold somebody&#8217;s hand \u2026 or help them with their suitcases, or help them park their car. Tell them it doesn&#8217;t matter about the car \u2013 the car might burn down. There were so many other people like me that were helping out. I&#8217;m not the only one, so I&#8217;m very proud of our community here.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Other celebrities caught in the crosshairs were Eugene Levy, star of the beloved &#8220;Schitt&#8217;s Creek,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxla.com\/news\/pacific-palisades-fire-celebrities-evacuate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">FOX 11 in Los Angeles reports<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Former First Lady of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/california\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">California<\/a> and journalist Maria Shriver took to X as the blaze first began &#8220;devastating&#8221; the city.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;LAFD is asking for help \u2013 any other firefighters anywhere, please help us here,&#8221; urged. &#8220;This fire is zero-contained. Resources are needed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/first-tornado-twister-2025-video\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>VIDEO: WILDFIRE CAMERA CAPTURES VIDEO OF TORNADO<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Fashion model and actress Molly Sims <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/mollybsims\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">shared a video on her Instagram Story of her backyard in flames<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;Please GET out,&#8221; she stressed. Help your neighbors, help <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/family\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">families<\/a>, please do what you can.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Sims managed to escape safely, she said, but asked for continued prayers for the Palisades.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Other celebrities, like Tom Hanks, Reese Witherspoon and Michael Keaton, are among other prominent residents in the area, FOX 11 reports.
