The fire has since exploded in size, fueled by strong winds.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><strong>LOS ANGELES<\/strong> \u2013 Officials reported that the water pressure to fire hydrants has diminished in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/california\/los-angeles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Los Angeles<\/a>, as several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/california-palisades-fire-windstorm-wednesday\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wildfires consume thousands of acres<\/a> in Southern <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/wildfires\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">California<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The largest of the wildfires, the Eaton Fire near <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/california\/altadena\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Altadena<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/california\/pasadena\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pasadena<\/a>, has scorched over 10,000 acres alone and led to at least two deaths as of Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, the Palisades Fire near the Santa Monica Mountains, the Hurst Fire near San Fernando and the Woodley Fire have burned more than 5,000 acres combined.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Such widespread flames have put immense strain on the water system in Los Angeles. Department of Water and Power (LADWP) CEO and Chief Engineer Janisse Qui\u00f1ones said teams have struggled to maintain water pressure on the system, which allows water to be pushed to fire hydrants used by firefighters.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Qui\u00f1ones noted that in the Palisades, where water pressure for fire hydrants is fed by three water tanks containing 1 million gallons each, the tanks had run out of water by 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">In addition to the widespread nature of the fires exacerbating the water supply and pressure, firefighting units have been called off due to the weather, leaving ground crews to act alone.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/california-palisades-fire-windstorm-wednesday\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>LOS ANGELES ENGULFED BY DEADLY APOCALYPTIC WILDFIRES FUELD BY HURRICANE-FORCE WINDS AMID DIRE EVACUATIONS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;The strain that this fire has put on the water system and the hydrants, they\u2019re just not designed for that type of usage all at once for 15 hours straight,&#8221; Los Angeles County Fire Department Captain Sheila Kelliher Berkoh said to FOX Weather.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">L.A. City Fire Chief Kristin M.
