The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/what-is-the-jet-stream\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">jet stream<\/a>, which has been guiding each <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/winter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">winter<\/a> storm, will take on a more amplified dip across the South instead of remaining relatively flat.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/how-to-watch-fox-weather-on-tv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>HOW TO WATCH FOX WEATHER<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div data-v-b8684aba=\"\">\n<div class=\"freeform-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/media.foxweather.com\/weather\/Weekend%20What%20We%20Know.png\"\/><figcaption>Here&#8217;s what we know about another powerful storm that will impact the country this weekend.<br \/><strong>(FOX Weather)<\/strong><\/figcaption><hr\/>\n<p>\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Because this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/why-is-atmospheric-pressure-so-important-to-the-forecast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">low-pressure system<\/a> will be stronger and farther south than previous storms, it will generate widespread rain on its eastern side as it tracks northward toward the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/northeast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Northeast<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">This will significantly limit, but not completely eliminate, the potential for snow. Most snowfall will not develop until the system taps into colder air over the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/midwest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Midwest<\/a>, upstate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/new-york\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/new-england\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New England<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div data-v-b8684aba=\"\">\n<div class=\"freeform-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/media.foxweather.com\/weather\/Weekend%20Snow%20QPF.png\"\/><figcaption>Here&#8217;s a look at the snow potential in the North this weekend.<br \/><strong>(FOX Weather)<\/strong><\/figcaption><hr\/>\n<p>\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Moderate-to-heavy snow will primarily target the Interstate 90 corridor from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/iowa\/des-moines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Des Moines<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/iowa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Iowa<\/a>, to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/illinois\/chicago\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chicago<\/a> and eastward into New England. A good chunk of upstate New York and New England could potentially see another significant round of snowfall, possibly up to a foot, especially north of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/massachusetts\/boston\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Boston<\/a>.
