Flood Watch tagged with the more dire &#8220;Particularly Dangerous Situation&#8221; designation as torrential rains fall on ground already saturated from previous soaking rain events of the past week.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/kentucky\/corbin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Corbin<\/a>, Kentucky, flood waters carried a truck data-v-438398f6=\"\">Near Lewisburg, Kentucky, swift water rescue teams were needed to rescue a driver who became trapped in swift waters of the swollen Mud River, the NWS reported. \u00a0Another water rescue was needed to the west in the town of Murray.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">A driver also became stranded in floodwaters in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/tennessee\/martin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Martin<\/a>, Tennessee, another NWS spotter reported. \u00a0Scottsville, Kentucky reported &#8220;numerous roads are impassable,&#8221; and spotters in Monticello, Kentucky reported a stretch of Highway 90 was closed due to an 8-foot deep sinkhole.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">In Richland, Kentucky, the fire department was called to rescue four people and their pets who were trapped in their flooded home.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">City officials in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/tennessee\/clarksville\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Clarksville<\/a>, Tennessee posted multiple photos of flood-covered roads around their we&#8217;re going to pick up the rest of (Saturday),&#8221; says FOX Weather <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/person\/e\/michael-estime\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meteorologist Michael Estime<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Flooding even stretched into southwestern Virginia, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/governorva\/status\/1890834061670617438?s=46&amp;t=h1VoQXsgqgeM7K69rZeLBQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">where Gov. Glenn Youngkin says he&#8217;s deployed the National Guard<\/a> among other first responders to the area.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">NOAA&#8217;s Weather Prediction Center has now issued their most dire level 4 flash flood threat rating of &#8220;extreme&#8221; to parts of northwestern Tennessee and southwestern Kentucky.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div data-v-b8684aba=\"\">\n<div class=\"freeform-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/media.foxweather.com\/weather\/SAT%20Flash%20Flood%20Outlook.png?v2a\"\/><figcaption>Here&#8217;s a look at the flash flood threat in the East this weekend.<br \/><strong>(FOX Weather)<\/strong><\/figcaption><hr\/>\n<p>\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;There&#8217;s so much moisture available and it&#8217;s going to continue to get pumped in from the south throughout the day,&#8221; FOX Weather <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/person\/s\/ari-sarsalari\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meteorologist Ari Sarsalari said<\/a>. &#8220;This is the real problem here \u2013 1 to 2 inch per hour rain rates. About half of such alerts result in at least one death.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;So this is going to be a really big deal,&#8221; Sarsalari said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">A Level 3 out of 4 risk for flash flooding expands farther out into the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys as potential exists for numerous flash floods, some of which could be significant.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Flood Watches have been issued that extend over 900 miles from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/arkansas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arkansas<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/pennsylvania\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pennsylvania<\/a>.
