The Tuesday into Wednesday threat appears to be the most significant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Tens of millions of people across the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S.<\/a> from the Plains to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/southeast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Southeast<\/a> are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/prepare\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">preparing<\/a> for a potential multiday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/severe-weather\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">severe weather<\/a> outbreak this week, with forecasters warning of threats of large <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/hail\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hail<\/a>, damaging <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/wind\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wind<\/a> gusts and even some strong <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/tornadoes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tornadoes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Strong to severe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/thunderstorms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thunderstorms<\/a> will be possible across portions of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/watch\/fmc-dw47apdf5r2eqar1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oklahoma and Texas as we end the weekend on Sunday<\/a>, but the FOX Forecast Center said the more significant severe weather threat will start on Monday and last through at least Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/how-to-watch-fox-weather-on-tv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>HOW TO WATCH FOX WEATHER<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div data-v-b8684aba=\"\">\n<div class=\"freeform-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/media.foxweather.com\/weather\/South%20Multi-Day%20Severe%20Outlook.png\"\/><figcaption>This graphic shows the severe weather threat through Wednesday, March 5, 2025.<br \/><strong>(FOX Weather)<\/strong><\/figcaption><hr\/>\n<p>\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;We actually do have a little bit of a chance for some severe storms later on this afternoon and evening up in parts of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/texas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Texas<\/a> Panhandle and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/oklahoma\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oklahoma<\/a>,&#8221; FOX Weather Meteorologist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/person\/s\/ari-sarsalari\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ari Sarsalari<\/a> said. &#8220;But, that\u2019s not going to be a big deal compared to this.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The FOX Forecast Center said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/new-fox-model-a-game-changer-in-short-term-weather-prediction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">computer forecast models<\/a> are showing high confidence that ingredients will come together to produce a widespread severe weather event.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">This includes a strong area of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/why-is-atmospheric-pressure-so-important-to-the-forecast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">low pressure<\/a> developing in the Plains, which will then pull in warm and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/humidity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">humid<\/a> air from the Gulf. That will provide the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/atmosphere\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">atmospheric<\/a> energy needed for storms to develop and strengthen.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">In addition, forecasters are concerned that strong winds aloft moving over the air mass will provide ample <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/wind-shear\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wind shear<\/a> \u2013 the change in wind speed and direction with height \u2013 to allow for those storms to rotate.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/app\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>DOWNLOAD THE FREE FOX WEATHER APP<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div data-v-b8684aba=\"\">\n<div class=\"freeform-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/media.foxweather.com\/weather\/MON%20Severe%20Outlook.png\"\/><figcaption>This graphic shows the severe weather threat on Monday, March 3, 2025.<br \/><strong>(FOX Weather)<\/strong><\/figcaption><hr\/>\n<p>\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">According to NOAA\u2019s Storm Prediction Center (SPC), a rapidly developing line of thunderstorms could produce severe hail, damaging wind gusts and maybe a tornado or two across portions of the southern Plains by Monday night.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Forecasters say some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/what-is-a-supercell-thunderstorm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">supercell thunderstorms<\/a> could develop before the storms combine into an organized line, and strong to severe thunderstorms could develop south-southeastward into and across the Interstate 35 corridor from south of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/kansas\/wichita\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wichita<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/kansas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kansas<\/a>, area, through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/oklahoma\/oklahoma-city\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oklahoma City<\/a> and into North <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/texas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Texas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-v-4e81e892=\"\">More than 37 million from southern Plans to Southeast see severe weather threat Tuesday<\/h2>\n<div data-v-b8684aba=\"\">\n<div class=\"freeform-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/media.foxweather.com\/weather\/TUE%20Severe%20Outlook.png\"\/><figcaption>This graphic shows the severe weather threat on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.<br \/><strong>(FOX Weather)<\/strong><\/figcaption><hr\/>\n<p>\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">As we head into Tuesday, the severe weather threat will explode in population and coverage, with the SPC placing more than 37 million people from eastern portions of Texas and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/oklahoma\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oklahoma<\/a> into western <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/georgia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Georgia<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/florida\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida<\/a> Panhandle at risk of severe weather.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">However, more than 3.6 million people in southern <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/arkansas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arkansas<\/a>, northern and central <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/louisiana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Louisiana<\/a> and central and southern <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/mississippi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mississippi<\/a> have been placed in a level 3 out of 5 risk on the SPC&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/weather-geek-speak-severe-weather-categories-explained\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">5-point severe thunderstorm risk scale<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Cities in the threat zone include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/louisiana\/shreveport\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shreveport<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/louisiana\/bossier-city\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bossier City<\/a> in Louisiana, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/arkansas\/little-rock\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Little Rock<\/a> in Arkansas and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/mississippi\/jackson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jackson<\/a> in Mississippi.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;Expect severe weather,&#8221; Sarsalari said. &#8220;How bad is it going to be? It\u2019s a little bit early to be super specific about that, but I think we\u2019re going to have at least some tornadoes. We\u2019ll have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/watch\/play-591b50eb90001a6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">straight-line damaging winds<\/a>. Is this going to be some kind of big tornado outbreak?
