to the most advanced, but many novices may be unaware of the differences between a lunar eclipse and a solar eclipse.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/definition-sun-moon-explanation-good-bad-facts-lunar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">solar eclipse<\/a> occurs during the new Moon cycle when Earth&#8217;s only natural satellite passes directly between the Sun and the planet.<\/p>\n<p>This alignment causes the Moon to block out the Sun&#8217;s light, temporarily casting a shadow over part <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/sun\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sun<\/a> is obscured.
