FOX weather Meteorologist Ari Sarsalari breaks down the latest forecast.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The FOX Forecast Center is closely monitoring the development of multiple storm systems expected to sweep across the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S.<\/a> this week that will bring a renewed risk of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/severe-weather\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">severe weather<\/a> to tens of millions of Americans.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">March typically marks the beginning of the active <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/march-tornado-threat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spring severe weather season<\/a>, and this renewed risk comes after a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/severe-weather-tornadoes-plains-midwest-southeast-east-coast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deadly severe weather outbreak that swept across the nation last week<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">This week, forecasters will monitor the potential for strong to severe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/thunderstorms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thunderstorms<\/a> as we approach the middle of the week and again as we get ready to welcome the weekend.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/how-to-watch-fox-weather-on-tv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>HOW TO WATCH FROX WEATHER<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 data-v-4e81e892=\"\">Questions remain regarding midweek severe weather threat<\/h2>\n<div data-v-b8684aba=\"\">\n<div class=\"freeform-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/media.foxweather.com\/weather\/Midweek%20Severe%20Threat%20Overview.png\"\/><figcaption>This graphic shows the midweek severe weather threat overview.<br \/><strong>(FOX Weather)<\/strong><\/figcaption><hr\/>\n<p>\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The FOX Forecast Center said that the severe weather potential might increase on Wednesday across the Ark-La-Tex region as an upper-level <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/why-is-atmospheric-pressure-so-important-to-the-forecast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">low-pressure<\/a> system moves eastward from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/southwest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Southwest<\/a> into the southern Plains.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">However, there is still some uncertainty regarding the system&#8217;s strength and positioning. One <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/new-fox-model-a-game-changer-in-short-term-weather-prediction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">computer forecast model<\/a> shows a more intense, negatively tilted trough with strong upper-level <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/wind\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">winds<\/a>, which could enhance storm development.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">On the other hand, another model shows a weaker system which would limit storm coverage.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a trough is expected to move from the Plains to the eastern U.S.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">A deepening surface low will pull in moisture from the Gulf and send it north into the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/mississippi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mississippi<\/a> Valley on Friday, and then into the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/southeast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Southeast<\/a> by Saturday.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">However, the FOX Forecast Center said significant differences remain among the computer forecast models regarding the placement and timing of this threat.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">While severe weather looks possible across parts of the Ark-La-Tex, Deep South and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/midwest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Midwest<\/a>, confidence is currently too low to define specific threat areas.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Future severe weather outlooks will likely come into play as computer forecast models come into better agreement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><script async
