(NOAA)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">After a period of persistent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/la-nina\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La Ni\u00f1a<\/a> conditions, the equatorial Pacific <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/ocean\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ocean<\/a> is showing strong signs of a shift toward the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/la-nada-neutral-enso-pacific-explainer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">neutral state of the El Ni\u00f1o-Southern Oscillation (ENSO)<\/a>, according to the latest report from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/noaa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NOAA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The agency&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov\/products\/analysis_monitoring\/enso_advisory\/ensodisc.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Climate Prediction Center (CPC) released an updated outlook Thursday<\/a>, indicating that below-average sea-surface temperatures, which characterized La Ni\u00f1a, significantly weakened in the central and east-central Pacific in February.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/el-nino-la-nina-climate-explainer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>WHAT ARE EL NINO AND LA NINA CLIMATE PATTERNS?<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">While some lingering effects of La Ni\u00f1a are still present in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/atmosphere\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">atmosphere<\/a>, the overall trend points firmly toward a neutral state developing in the next month and persisting through the Northern Hemisphere <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/summer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">summer<\/a> (62% chance between June-August). In the meantime, however, a La Ni\u00f1a Advisory remains in effect as we approach the first day of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/spring\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spring<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-v-4e81e892=\"\">How will this affect temperature and precipitation patterns?<\/h2>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a meteorological spring<\/a>, which spans March, April and May, forecasts spring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/heat-wave\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">heat<\/a> to the south
