In doing so, they will help lock in the blossoms for a little while longer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Forecasters from NOAA\u2019s Climate Prediction Center have released their best predictions for what the climate will look like during astronomical <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/spring\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spring<\/a>, which runs through June 20.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The key takeaways from the outlook are largely unsurprising: above-average temperatures are expected across much of the country, with ongoing drought conditions in the Southwest.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Due to the warmth and dryness, a large portion of the U.S. is also expected to experience a reduced risk of widespread flooding along major rivers.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;The Spring Outlook provides critical information for our partners \u2014 including those in agriculture, shipping, and recreation \u2014 allowing them to prepare for what\u2019s ahead this spring and maximize their economic potential,&#8221; Ken Graham, director of NOAA\u2019s National Weather Service, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.noaa.gov\/news-release\/spring-outlook-dry-in-west-milder-than-average-in-south-and-east\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said in a statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The areas most likely to see increased precipitation are confined to the Great Lakes and the Pacific <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/northwest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Northwest<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Due to the increased cloud cover associated with rainy weather, these regions are also expected to have the best chances of experiencing average or even below-average temperatures.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/lifestyle\/cherry-blossom-peak-bloom-dates-2025-announced-washington-dc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>WHEN WILL THE CHERRY BLOSSOMS PEAK IN WASHINGTON THIS SPRING?<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">NOAA forecasters do not expect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/el-nino-la-nina-climate-explainer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La Ni\u00f1a or El Ni\u00f1o<\/a> to play a significant role in weather patterns this spring, meaning localized weather patterns will have a more substantial impact than any nationwide climate event.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The neutral status of the El Ni\u00f1o-Southern Oscillation, or what is sometimes referred to as &#8220;La Nada,&#8221;
