With the new season, The Old Farmer\u2019s Almanac and the Farmers\u2019 Almanac have both released their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/spring\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spring<\/a> weather outlooks to help <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/agriculture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">planters<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/family\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">families<\/a> plan their calendars in the months ahead.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Unlike your daily weather forecasts, which provide updated forecasts based on the latest weather data and models, both almanacs take a holistic approach to their long-range forecasts, combining <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/space-weather\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">space weather<\/a> influences from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/sun\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sun<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/climate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">climatology<\/a> and meteorology. Smerbeck and Thompson write that a &#8220;relatively active severe weather season is expected,&#8221; especially in the Deep South, where more frequent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/thunderstorms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thunderstorms<\/a> are expected.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/noaa-spring-forecast-weather-climate-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>NOAA&#8217;S NEW ASTRONOMICAL SPRING WEATHER OUTLOOK PAINTS A FAMILIAR TUNE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Meanwhile, The Old Farmer&#8217;s Almanac spring outlook shows drier conditions for northern <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/new-england\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New England<\/a>, southern Florida, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/texas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Texas<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/oklahoma\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oklahoma<\/a>, America&#8217;s Heartland, the western Ohio Valley and lower Great Lakes, the northern High Plains and Upper Midwest and the Pacific <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/northwest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Northwest<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-v-4e81e892=\"\"><strong>Farmers&#8217; Almanac: \u2018Thunder and zing spring\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/meteorological-spring-climatological-spring-march-1-may-31\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meteorological spring<\/a> did start with a &#8220;zing&#8221; with dozens of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/tornadoes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tornadoes<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.farmersalmanac.com\/spring-extended-weather\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Farmers&#8217; Almanac outlook calls for a &#8220;cool and stormy&#8221; spring season for most in the U.S. with warmer temperatures in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/southeast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Southeast<\/a>.
