However, temperatures will get back up into the 50s during the afternoons.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Those who have been displaced or are cleaning up from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/severe-weather-tornado-outbreak-flooding-southeast-deaths\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deadly flooding and severe storms from the past week<\/a> will have to contend with dangerously cold temperatures as recovery efforts get underway.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Some 29 million people are under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/whats-the-difference-between-frost-a-freeze-and-a-hard-freeze\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">frost and freeze alerts<\/a> in an area covering large portions of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/missouri\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Missouri<\/a>, northern <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/arkansas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arkansas<\/a>, West <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/tennessee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tennessee<\/a>, southern <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/illinois\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Illinois<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/indiana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Indiana<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/ohio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ohio<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/kentucky\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kentucky<\/a> through at least Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">On Monday, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear warned people not to let their guard down even though most of the rain has passed.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;This is going to be a dangerous night where temperatures fall,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/ohio-river-cincinnati-flooding\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>FLOODING CONTINUES AS OHIO RIVER IN CINCINNATI TOPS MORE THAN 60 FEET, HIGHEST IN 28 YEARS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div data-v-b8684aba=\"\">\n<div class=\"freeform-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/media.foxweather.com\/weather\/Recovery%20Frost%20and%20Freeze%20Alerts.png\"\/><figcaption>The current frost and freeze alerts in the central U.S.<br \/><strong>(FOX Weather)<\/strong><\/figcaption><hr\/>\n<p>\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;If you&#8217;re trying to ride this out somewhere where it&#8217;s wet, if you&#8217;re trying to ride this out in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">home<\/a> that&#8217;s had water, tonight could raise concerns of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/what-is-hypothermia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hypothermia<\/a>,&#8221; Beshear warned. &#8220;Find a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/safety\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">safe<\/a> place to go. We have plenty of shelters. You can call a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/family\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">family<\/a> member or a friend.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Low temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings are forecast to drop into the 30s and 40s in many areas. Across Kentucky and the upper Ohio Valley, temperatures are forecast to drop below freezing on both of those mornings, according to the FOX Forecast Center.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;If it&#8217;s going to get down to the 20s, we need you to be dry and warm so you can work on digging out and mucking out tomorrow,&#8221;
