As of Sunday, the distillery was closed and will not be accessible to consumers or employees.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><strong>FRANKFORT, Ky. \u2013<\/strong> America&#8217;s oldest continuously operating distillery is temporarily closed because of major flooding in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/home-swept-kentucky-river-flooding\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kentucky<\/a> this week, caused by days of heavy downpours that have caused the Kentucky, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/ohio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ohio<\/a> and Mississippi rivers to surge.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The Buffalo Trace Distillery is located along the banks of the Kentucky River in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/kentucky\/frankfort\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Frankfort<\/a>. On Monday, the river crested at 48.2 feet, the second highest in Frankfort&#8217;s history.
