Hurricane Helene forms in the NW Caribbean, Florida landfall expected (Sept. 25, 2024)

As of 11 a.m. Wednesday, Helene has strengthened into a hurricane and is forecast to become a major hurricane by Thursday morning. The storm will bring impacts to Southwest Florida starting Wednesday afternoon.
