North Carolina’s Biltmore Village issues update after Helene
Village in Asheville was completely underwater on Friday after Helene and the rising waters of the Swana River came into the area. Mud and debris from the flooded streets is still all over the roads. Floodwater was as high as the roof of this windy. On Friday, water has now receded. The clean up in this area is just beginning. The entrance to the Biltmore estate is in this area. We flew over the estate and while several trees had fallen down and have since been cut up, there appears to be no major damage to the estate including Biltmore House. Biltmore issues update on Biltmore Village and Biltmore Estate days after Helene makes impact

The historic Asheville tourist attraction has issued an update after Helene ravaged much of western North Carolina.Biltmore officials said complete impacts to the estate are still being assessed and will take some time. However, wind extensively damaged forested areas of the 8,000-acre property.Crews have been working to clear roads so that repairs can begin to the grounds and some structures.The entrance to Biltmore, located in Biltmore Village and other low-lying areas of the property, experienced significant flooding and damage to buildings.
