Oklahoma City Halloween party shooting leaves 1 dead, 12 injured


JOSEPH. THANK YOU. LET’S GET TO THAT. BREAKING NEWS NOW THIS MORNING A MASS SHOOTING AT A HALLOWEEN PARTY AT AN EVENT CENTER IN SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY. POLICE SAY AT LEAST 12 PEOPLE WERE SHOT AND ONE PERSON WAS KILLED. KOCO CREWS WERE ON THAT SCENE ALL MORNING AS PEOPLE AS POLICE WERE INVESTIGATING. MULTIPLE UNITS WERE THERE ON THE SCENE. YELLOW CRIME SCENE TAPE BLOCKED OFF THE AREA FOR HOURS. WE DO KNOW IT HAPPENED AROUND 1230 NEAR SOUTHWEST 59TH AND AGNEW. OKLAHOMA CITY POLICE SAY IT STARTED AS AN ARGUMENT BETWEEN TWO GROUPS. THEY BELIEVE THERE WERE MULTIPLE SHOOTERS INVOLVED. MULTIPLE PEOPLE ARE DETAINED. WE’RE GOING TO INTERVIEW EVERYONE THAT WE HAVE AND TRY TO FIGURE OUT, YOU KNOW, WHAT HAPPENED, WHAT LED UP TO THIS EVENT? OKLAHOMA CITY POLICE SAY THEY BELIEVE THERE WERE RIFLES AND DIFFERENT GUNS INVOLVED IN THE SHOOTING THERE. THEY ARE STILL TALKING TO ANYONE THEY CAN TO FIGURE OUT EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED. Police told KOCO 5 that the shooting started as an argument between two groups, and they believe multiple shooters were involved. “Multiple people are detained. We’re going to interview them and figure out what led up to this event,” Capt. Valerie Littlejohn said.
