The Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions both come into Week 6 having won two games in a row, but under some different circumstances. The 3-1 Lions are coming off an early Week 5 bye, and have a marathon over the next 13 weeks to close the season. In Week 4 they lit up the scoreboard in a 42-29 win over the Seahawks. Jared Goff completed all 18 of his passes in that game for 292 yards and two scores.
Dallas’ two-game win streak has come on the road after getting thumped in back-to-back weeks at home by the Ravens and Saints. In the Week 5 win at Pittsburgh, the Cowboys moved the ball at will — 445 yards and 25 first downs — in rainy conditions against the vaunted Steelers defense, but three turnovers made it so they needed a late Dak Prescott-to-Jalen Tolbert touchdown pass with 20 seconds left to get a 20-17 win.
In the AFC’s top late matchup, the Chargers head to Denver to take on the Broncos. Bo Nix has Denver on a roll with three straight wins, while the Chargers enter Week 6 on a two-game losing streak. The Steelers will also take on the Las Vegas Raiders in the afternoon window, and the Atlanta Falcons will travel to Charlotte to square off against the Panthers.
