Israel says it launched ‘preemptive’ strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon

Israel’s military said it launched “preemptive strikes” against Hezbollah in Lebanon, saying the militants were preparing to launch a barrage of missiles and rockets at Israel. The exchange is one of the largest yet after months of tensions.
