The Bloodline costs Jey Uso the Intercontinental championship
The main event of this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Philadelphia featured Intercontinental Champion Jey Uso putting his title on the line against Bron Breakker in a rematch from the biggest win of Jey’s career, at least as a singles wrestler. Before ever getting there, however, he took a detour over to Friday Night SmackDown last week and ran afoul of The Bloodline.
You won’t be surprised to learn that came back to haunt him.
That’s because Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu showed up halfway through the match, two tickets in hand claiming they were trying to help him win the match and retain his title. And then Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa showed up, also claiming they wanted to help, but they both ate a superkick for their troubles.
Then, Sikoa hopped the rail even pushed Jey out of the way when Breakker came around for a huge spear. Could it be?
Nope!
While the referee was distracted with tossing out Tonga and Loa, Fatu laid out Jey with a superkick and Samoan Drop on the announcer’s desk. Breakker threw him back in the ring, hit the super spear, and won the title back.
No yeet.
