2024 Election: Donald Trump projected to win Iowa

After late polling showed a close race in Iowa, ABC News projects Donald Trump will win the state.

The state became a topic of conversation over the last few days as the well-regarded pollster Selzer & Co. released a poll conducted on behalf of the Des Moines Register and Mediacom showing Harris ahead by 3 percentage points in the Hawkeye State, a surprising result for a state Trump won by 9 points in 2016 and 8 points in 2020.
