Hamas political leader killed in Iran

Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh has been killed in Iran, says Iran state media, citing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. According to the state-run outlet IRNA, the attack happened with an “airborne guided projectile” where Haniyeh was staying. The Hamas leader was visiting Iran for the inauguration of the country’s newly elected president Masoud Pezeshkian.
