Cavs’ bench sparks second-half rally to help preserve perfect record with 119-113 win over Bulls

CHICAGO — The Cavs moved another step closer to NBA history.

Cleveland won its 12th straight game to open the 2024-25 season on Monday night, rallying in the second half to hold off the hard-charging Bulls, 119-113. The Cavs are just the eighth team ever to start 12-0. The NBA record is 24 consecutive victories without a loss to open a season, set by the dynastic Golden State Warriors in 2015-16 — a year in which they finished 73-9.
