UK rock band says they were robbed at gunpoint in Vallejo


The British indie band Sports Team shared a scary experience on social media ahead of their Sacramento show on Tuesday night.The band told the BBC they had stopped for coffee at a gas station in Vallejo when the robbery occurred.”Just been robbed at gunpoint 10 minutes into the US tour,” the band posted on Instagram. “Man runs in saying some guys are smashing into a van. Ran out to try to stop it and find masked guys ransacking the van. Start yelling and they pull out a gun.”The band said they contacted police and were told to submit a report online. The group noted that only personal items were taken and they still have their instruments, so the show is set to go on at the Trading Post on Tuesday.The band said they were “shocked” by how others in the gas station seemed “resigned” to the crime.KCRA has reached out to the band for comment.
