Eric Bischoff shows up, WWE NXT does worst rating in more than a year

The ratings and viewership data are in for the Dec. 3 episode of WWE NXT on The CW.

According to Programming Insider, the show averaged 593,000 viewers and scored a 0.13 rating among 18-49 year olds. Both are down for the second week in a row. The total audience was 6% lower than Nov. 26’s, and the demo rating dropped 13%. It’s also the show’s lowest rating since July 4, 2023.

Competition doesn’t seem to be the culprit here. It was a fairly standard night on television, with basketball being the main live sports competition. But the basketball that was on didn’t do big numbers. The Orlando/New York NBA game on TNT had 956K viewers and a .29 rating, while the Syracuse/Tennessee college game on ESPN had an audience of 787K and a .22 in the demo. CBS procedural FBI won the night with 6.66 million viewers and a .42 rating.

NXT was the lowest rated primetime show on broadcast TV Tuesday night.

Probably not what they wanted heading into this weekend’s Deadline premium live event, but they should be set up for improved numbers next week.

Here’s a rundown of NXT’s audience and ratings share of the 18-49 demographic over the past year:

* Aired on SyFy
** Moved to broadcast network The CW effective this date
*** Aired outside its normal Tuesday night primetime slot
