Here Are The ‘Marvel Rivals’ Characters Players Already Hate
Iron Fist
Marvel Rivals has been out for a day or two now, and the game is finding its groove. And by finding its groove I mean people are already starting to get extremely annoyed by a number of characters and either are tired of going against them or feel they must use them themselves to be competitive.
This is, of course, pretty standard for any hero shooter, and Marvel Rivals is no different. It’ll soon have balance patches and such, but right now, there are certainly some characters that are more exhausting than others.
Iron Fist – I definitely believe that Iron Fist is number one, where being a melee character, he’s been given absolutely wild mobility including a triple jump and dashes. He’s exceptionally hard to pin down, and when you do, he’s probably in your face punching you to death.
Marvel Rivals
Venom – You ever tried to kill a Venom? The tank is easily the most common pick for that role, and his ability to blast himself with a huge life burst any time he gets low never stops being irritating. Even worse, unlike most chonky tanks, he has significant mobility in the form of a web swing, meaning he can land behind you on your squishies to mess them up, or tank in the middle of chaos when he needs to.
Spider-Man
Spider-Man – Essentially the same problem with Iron Fist, albeit perhaps not quite as good. Still, as you might expect he has a ton of mobility, but in addition to melee, also has ranged in the form of webs, and his ultimate is an AOE nightmare.
Marvel Rivals
Jeff – I always love having Jeff on my team (or at any point, anyone willing to play healer at all), but going against him? His underground escape capabilities are exhausting, and his underground chomp ult to take you either miles away from the fight or directly into the rest of his team is deeply annoying.
Marvel Rivals
Star Lord – I love playing as him. I hate being shredded by him. A duelist with insane damage output, he also has unlimited mobility on essentially no cooldown, easily escaping most situations, or getting behind your team for his AOE shot attack. And his auto-target ultimate is more or less and automatic triple kill or more due to its sheer damage output.
Honorable Mentions: Psylocke, Cloak and Dagger, Loki, Black Widow, Moon Knight
I’m sure other people have their own picks here, but these certainly feel like standouts in the early hours of the game. I’m not calling for any immediate nerfs, but as ever, nerfs and buffs will both be coming at some point soon here once things settle.
