5 people shot in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District


No victims were found in the area when police arrived, but they began showing up to Harborview in private vehicles.

SEATTLE — Five people were shot early Saturday morning in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District. 

Police officers were dispatched to the 800 block of South Lane Street just before 3:50 a.m. No victims were at the scene.

Four people with gunshot wounds were taken to Harborview Medical Center in private vehicles while officers were investigating. 

A fifth victim called 911 from the 2700 block of Fourth Avenue South. He was treated at the scene by the Seattle Fire Department.

The four men and one woman had injuries ranging from “minor” to “serious,” according to Seattle police. One man had emergency surgery. 

Multiple shell casings were found inside and outside a nearby hookah lounge. 

No arrests have been made.

Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit are leading the investigation.
