Jewelry thieves attempt to flee in sinking rowboat

Deputies in Washington state arrested a man and woman accused of stealing $11,000 in jewelry from a shipping container.

Authorities said they tried to drive away, but their car rolled over. Then they stole a rowboat, but it sank. The pair swam to shore where they were arrested.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether the stolen jewelry was recovered.
