Mysterious man keeps appearing after wrecks

BENNINGTON, Neb. (WOWT/CNN/CNN Newsource/WKRC) – A mysterious man keeps appearing shortly after wrecks.

Garrison and Skylar Beach are counting their blessings after surviving a harrowing car crash near Bennington, Nebraska. The couple narrowly escaped serious injury when their vehicle swerved to avoid a large piece of metal on the road, overcorrected, and ended up at the bottom of a ravine.

Skylar Beach described the frightening moment when speaking to WOWT.

“Just of where we hit the guard rail, if we would have like, went over, just a little bit over, we could have, the cables probably could have came right through the windshield which is really scary to think about because that could have just went right through us,” Skylar Beach told the outlet.

The crash occurred at night while the Beaches were traveling at speeds between 50 to 60 mph. They feared their car would roll as it descended into the ravine.

“We’ve got a subject of interest that we, that we are continuing with our investigation honing in on,” Douglas County Sheriff Aaron Hanson told WOWT’s reporters.

The incident is part of a troubling pattern. WOWT identified four similar occurrences in the past month, involving objects like furniture and a bicycle left in the middle of Highway 36. These incidents always happen at night, and there always seems to be a witness nearby.

Skylar Beach noted the peculiar presence of a bystander immediately after the crash.

“He was right there as soon as we got out of the car. It was just very odd and since our car was down in the ravine, no one would have been able to know we were down there. So it was just very odd of how quickly he showed up and as if he watched the whole thing happen,” she told WOWT.

Authorities continue to investigate these mysterious incidents.
